Most school anti-bullying campaigns advocate negotiating your way out of a bullying situation when cornered. Fighting back is admonished. Yet, girls in middle and high school have separate programs to deal with rape and date rape. They are told to fight back at all costs.

My question is, "Why can't a guy protect himself when he is cornered without a school-imposed penalty?"

Administrators, please put on your parent hat. Wouldn't you want your child to fight for their life if in a life-threatening situation -- girl or boy?
