"All Lives Matter"
Just watched the movie, “Blackkklansman.” If you have not seen it, it is the true story of the exposure of David Duke’s “organization” of hatred and white supremacy. I felt so great to learn that he was exposed for the violent, ignorant person that he is. The sting was well orchestrated and it took all the patience and courage Ron Stallworth and Philip “Flip” Zimmerman could muster not to blow their cover. Then, at the end, the scenes of the rally at Charlottesville, Virginia were aired. The great feeling I had for triumph over David Duke soared downward. We still have not evolved to unconditional respect and love of one another, the basis of peace.
Kudos to Spike Lee for directing this picture. We obviously need to be reminded of our work unfinished. What a shame to acknowledge this truth!
